E & E's Easter Pictures

I met up with the D family again this past Saturday to take their kids' Easter pictures and the littlest E's 3 month pictures. This family so is much fun and I look forward to our future shoots!

I've only been able to go through a few of the pictures, but I am REALLY liking them so far. First up--EASTER pictures!

Here is one of E's 3 month pictures. Her mom was nice enough to let me use my new tutu that I made! I have been trying to get Nathan to try it on for me, but he refused. Finally I had a willing model!

The C Family

So, after being rained out once, the C family and I finally got together this past Saturday. They are a great family and you can tell that they have a lot of fun together. Little W gave me a run for my money, but was just as precious as can be. Big W was a born model!

Spring has Sprung...

At Mercer Arboretum, that is! After going through my session from this weekend at Mercer, I thought it would be a great idea to offer mini sessions there while everything is blooming.

So, here is the deal...

You get a 30 minute photoshoot at Mercer Arboretum with me. You then get 10-15 of your images on a CD to do with what you please. I do touch ups on all the images that you get! Since it is a mini session, the price is $75.

Mercer Arboretum Shoot

Beautiful children, beautiful backdrops, and great parents--what more could a photographer ask for? I met this wonderful family on Saturday morning and we had a great time shooting at Mercer Arboretum. First up is little Miss M. She had a blast looking at all the fish and the pink flowers that Mercer had to offer. Here is one of her and her little dolly named Purple in matching dresses.

Next up is C, her little brother. He was more interested in exploring his surroundings than the camera, but we caught a few of him looking!

Happy Valentine's Day--and a CONTEST!

Five years ago today my husband asked me to be his wife. He picked me up at my house for a surprise evening out. I had no clue what the night had in store. He took me to my favorite French restaraunt, Le Mistral, and we had their Valentine's Day special. Because I LOVE their food, I ate every bit on my plate and noticed that G was picking around and not eating much.

Then it came time for dessert. The waitress brought out a dessert plate with a black ring box on it. It still didn't hit me. For some reason I thought that they were earrings and I kept thinking why would G buy me earrings when he knows that my ears aren't pierced? G said, "This isn't mine," to the waitress and she said that she was told to bring it out to our table. He said, "This isn't mine, so it must be your's." He turned to me, got out of his chair, and knelt down on one knee. The entire world seemed to stop. I couldn't see anything but G--it was like I had complete tunnel vision. The only problem was, I couldn't even hear a word he was saying! I knew he was talking, but I was in such shock that I couldn't understand him! He had practiced this loving speech and I couldn't hear it (I did ask him to repeat it when we got home). I kept saying, "Are you serious?" After what seemed like an eternity to him, I finally found my voice and said YES!

Ever since then, Valentine's Day has held a very special day in my heart. So, I am having alittle contest to celebrate this special day. Share your favorite romantic story-G rated please- either in the comments section or email me. I will pick the sweetest one and that person will receive a free storyboard with their session! The contest ends Friday at 5 and I will post the winner Friday evening!

A Little Christmas Miracle

I had the pleasure of meeting 7 week old M on Saturday. He was born on Christmas day and his mommy and daddy are very much in love with him. He was such a perfect little model, giving me lots of great eye contact and even some smiles!
