Five years ago today my husband asked me to be his wife. He picked me up at my house for a surprise evening out. I had no clue what the night had in store. He took me to my favorite French restaraunt,
Le Mistral, and we had their Valentine's Day special. Because I LOVE their food, I ate every bit on my plate and noticed that G was picking around and not eating much.
Then it came time for dessert. The waitress brought out a dessert plate with a black ring box on it. It still didn't hit me. For some reason I thought that they were earrings and I kept thinking why would G buy me earrings when he knows that my ears aren't pierced? G said, "This isn't mine," to the waitress and she said that she was told to bring it out to our table. He said, "This isn't mine, so it must be your's." He turned to me, got out of his chair, and knelt down on one knee. The entire world seemed to stop. I couldn't see anything but G--it was like I had complete tunnel vision. The only problem was, I couldn't even hear a word he was saying! I knew he was talking, but I was in such shock that I couldn't understand him! He had practiced this loving speech and I couldn't hear it (I did ask him to repeat it when we got home). I kept saying, "Are you serious?" After what seemed like an eternity to him, I finally found my voice and said YES!
Ever since then, Valentine's Day has held a very special day in my heart. So, I am having alittle contest to celebrate this special day. Share your favorite romantic story-G rated please- either in the comments section or email me. I will pick the sweetest one and that person will receive a free storyboard with their session! The contest ends Friday at 5 and I will post the winner Friday evening!
